In the winter of 2016, the life of Cory J. Holmes, a 40-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. On the evening of February 20th, Holmes was the victim of a fatal shooting. This violent act did not just claim one life; another individual, Marquetta Yvonne Harris, aged 39, was also killed in the incident, marking it as a double homicide. The shooting took place in the 2900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue, leaving the community in North Richmond shaken.
