A 49-year-old woman, Kemberly A. M. Williams, tragically lost her life on the evening of March 24, 2016, in a senseless act of violence in Richmond, Virginia. Williams was in the sanctuary of her own home, watching television, when a stray bullet pierced through the residence and struck her. The incident occurred at approximately 10:53 p.m. in the 1800 block of North 29th Street. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and Williams was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically, she was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.
The initial investigation into the shooting that claimed the life of an innocent bystander unfolded over several months. Detectives with the Richmond Police Department worked diligently to piece together the events of that night. Their persistence ultimately led to a breakthrough in the case.
Months of investigative work culminated in the arrests of two young men. Keon C. Anderson, 18 years old at the time, and David D.
