In the spring of 2023, the life of 36-year-old Charneice Nicole 'Char' Williams was tragically cut short in what police have described as a possible murder-suicide. On the afternoon of April 19th, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3200 block of Decatur Street in Richmond, Virginia, following a report of two people being down inside the home.
Upon their arrival, they made the grim discovery of a woman and a man, both unresponsive and having sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
The female victim was identified as Charneice Williams. The man found with her was her 40-year-old husband, Corwin Hunter. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives investigating the case have indicated that they are working under the theory that Hunter shot Williams before turning the gun on himself. The final determination of the cause and manner of death is pending with the Medical Examiner's office.
