Jonathan Powers, a 19-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on June 1, 2016. Powers was found suffering from a gunshot wound near the road in the 800 block of North King Street in Hampton, Virginia, around 8:45 p.m. on the evening of June 1. Despite being transported to a local hospital for treatment, he succumbed to his injuries just before 1:30 a.m. on June 2.
