In the early summer evening of June 1, 2016, emergency dispatchers in Hampton, Virginia, began receiving multiple calls reporting a shooting at the intersection of North King Street and Huffman Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a young man near the roadway in the 800 block of North King Street suffering from a gunshot wound.
