In the early evening of January 4, 2013, James Terrell Williams, a 24-year-old male, was walking in the 600 block of Homestead Avenue in Hampton, Virginia. His journey was tragically cut short, marking the city's first homicide of the new year. As he made his way down the street, he was approached by two individuals.
