Jerry Vadal Colyer, a 43-year-old resident of Chesterfield, Virginia, tragically lost his life on September 29, 2016. Colyer was working as a front desk receptionist at the Econo Lodge in Chesterfield County when the incident occurred. According to reports, at approximately 10:57 p.m., a suspect entered the hotel lobby, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from Colyer.
