In the fall of 2016, a senseless act of violence tragically cut short the life of 52-year-old Carmella Diane Winston in Richmond, Virginia. On the afternoon of Sunday, October 9th, Winston was sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car in the Gilpin Court area when gunfire erupted. A stray bullet shattered the windshield and struck her in the head. She succumbed to her injuries later that day.
