In the warm evening of July 3, 2021, the life of 16-year-old Jamirah Washington of Richmond, Virginia, was tragically cut short. She was at the White Oak Village shopping center in Henrico County when gunfire erupted. Jamirah was an innocent bystander, caught in the crossfire of a dispute that did not involve her. The shooting incident resulted in her untimely death, leaving her family and community devastated.
