In the early morning hours, the quiet of a Norfolk, Virginia street was broken by the discovery of a young man's body. Twenty-one-year-old Mike Watson was found lying in the 1500 block of Azalea Garden Road, the victim of an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency dispatchers received a call about a gunshot victim at approximately 1:30 a.m., and responding police officers and paramedics found Watson at the scene. He was pronounced deceased there.
