On the evening of March 2, 2017, in Henrico, Virginia, the life of 18-year-old Kivonte Laquan Sessoms was tragically cut short. Henrico Police responded to a call of a shooting at the intersection of Futura Avenue and Westover Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Sessoms suffering from a gunshot wound inflicted at close range. He was rushed to a local hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased.
