In the late hours of a Monday evening in Henrico, Virginia, the life of 20-year-old Khmard Antonio Straughter was tragically cut short. On October 17, 2022, at approximately 11:29 p.m., Henrico 911 received calls reporting a shooting in the 1600 block of Azrock Court. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two adult men with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were immediately transported by Henrico Fire and EMS to a local hospital for medical attention. While one of the men was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Khmard Antonio Straughter succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The cause of his death was determined to be a gunshot wound.
