He was known to many by his nickname, 'D'Tre.'
On April 5, 2017, David Lee Coles III was found deceased in a Henrico, Virginia home. An altercation had occurred inside the residence, which ultimately led to his death from a gunshot wound. The incident was investigated by the Henrico County Police Division as a domestic-related homicide.
Following an investigation into the shooting, authorities identified a suspect. Jamare Maurice Jones, a 23-year-old from Henrico, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of David Lee Coles III.
