When officers arrived at the scene, they found a young man who had been shot.
The victim was identified as Yabdiel Manuel Rodriquez Aquino, an 18-year-old male who lived on the same block where the shooting occurred. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Chesterfield County Police Department began an investigation into his death, classifying it as a homicide.
