On a tragic evening in Chesapeake, Virginia, the life of Shawn Edward Basnight, a 39-year-old Caucasian male, was cut short. On December 5, 2017, three individuals forcibly entered his home on Wingfield Avenue. Inside at the time were Basnight and another adult.
