In the quiet community of Rural Retreat, Virginia, a tragedy unfolded in May of 2018, leaving a husband and wife deceased in what authorities would investigate as a murder-suicide. Peggy A. Cook, a 72-year-old female, and her 76-year-old husband, Curtis M. Cook, were discovered in their home on Wednesday, May 9, 2018.
