Daphne Saunders-Johnson, a 59-year-old Black/African American woman, was fatally shot in what police have described as a domestic-related incident. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 3:15 a.m., Fairfax County Police officers arrived at the couple's residence to the sound of a gunshot.
