In the early morning hours of September 16, 2018, a domestic dispute in a Chesapeake, Virginia, home escalated into a fatal act of violence, claiming the life of 55-year-old Anthony Smith. The man responsible for his death was his own son, 25-year-old Tevin Smith. The altercation, which also resulted in the shooting of another of Anthony's sons, reportedly began over a misplaced cell phone.
