Nicholas Bernard, an 18-year-old senior at Liberty High School in Bedford, VA, tragically passed away on January 8, 2019. According to reports, Nicholas died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at his home on Wycliffe Street. The Bedford County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident around 12:43 a.m. and found Nicholas critically injured. He was immediately airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries early the next morning.
