In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Portsmouth, Virginia, the life of 18-year-old Tyquan Charles was tragically cut short. On March 10, 2019, at approximately 1:52 a.m., police responded to a call on Buchanan Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Charles, a resident of Norfolk, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
