Kayleigh Christian Ellifritz, a 24-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost her life on September 16, 2019. The incident occurred inside her home on Dresden Drive, where she was fatally shot. The Newport News Police Department responded to the scene and pronounced her dead upon arrival. Her husband, Javon Fraser, was also present during the incident and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
