On October 15, 2019, 48-year-old Vicki Thomas was found deceased in her Chesapeake, Virginia, home. Police had been called to the residence on Rutgers Avenue around 2 p.m. for a report of an injured person. Upon their arrival, they discovered Vicki with apparent gunshot wounds.

The investigation swiftly identified her 58-year-old husband, Henry Thomas, as the primary suspect in her death. Later that evening, authorities located him at a different residence on Southport Avenue. As officers ...
