Tevin Powell, a 17-year-old from South Boston, Virginia, tragically lost his life on December 7, 2019. Tevin and his 20-year-old brother, Davonte Powell, were both victims of a shooting incident that occurred on Old Halifax Road. The brothers were found on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds. Davonte was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the head, while Tevin, who was shot in the neck, was flown to Duke Hospital by helicopter but later succumbed to his injuries.
