In the late afternoon of November 3, 2016, the life of 19-year-old DreQuan Tyrell Hubbard was tragically cut short in South Boston, Virginia. A former student at Halifax County High School, where he had played football, Hubbard was discovered inside a black Ford Fusion parked at the Westside Trailer Park on Bane Street. He was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The South Boston Police Department responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. after residents reported hearing shots fired.
