Jayshon M. Brooks, a 24-year-old from Richmond, VA, tragically lost his life in the early hours of January 1, 2020. The incident occurred in Henrico County, where Henrico police responded to a call about a shooting on Southbury Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities found Brooks suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to VCU Medical Center, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
