In the spring of 2020, a tragedy unfolded in Richmond, Virginia, that cut short the life of a young man and sent shockwaves through the community. Nathaniel D. Bankston, a 15-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of April 23rd. The incident occurred around 8:23 p.m. on Redd Street, a location that would become the final scene of the young man's life. He was rushed to VCU Medical Center, but the gunshot wounds he sustained to his head and other parts of his body proved to be fatal. ...
