In the summer of 2020, the life of 15-year-old Daevion Austin was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. On the evening of July 14th, Daevion was outside an apartment building in the Church Hill neighborhood when he was shot multiple times. Despite immediate efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries around 11 p.m. that night. Remembered as an outgoing and funny young man who had a love for playing video games, his sudden and violent death sent shockwaves through his community.
