Daevion Austin, a 15-year-old from Richmond, Virginia, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2020. According to reports, Daevion was shot multiple times outside an apartment building on P Street in the Church Hill neighborhood. The incident occurred late in the evening, and despite efforts to save him, Daevion succumbed to his injuries around 11 p.m. that night. His death left his family and friends in deep mourning, with many gathering at the scene of the shooting to hold a vigil in his memory.
