In the evening hours of Thursday, November 5, 2020, a sense of unease fell over the 6800 block of Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, Virginia. Officers from the Richmond Police Department were dispatched to the scene following a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival at approximately 8:05 p.m., they discovered a young man inside a vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The male, identified as 19-year-old Ja'Shawn Pressley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
