In the early morning hours, the stillness of a South Richmond neighborhood was broken by a grim discovery. The body of 23-year-old Manchee Edwards Jr. was found in the front yard of an abandoned house on the 200 block of Richmond Highway. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. His mother, Elizabeth Ogburn, recalled the last words her only son spoke to her were, 'Bye Mom. um um I'll be back later. and I love you i love you.'
