On September 26, 2024, at approximately 7:12 a.m., Richmond Police officers responded to a report of a person down in the 200 block of Richmond Highway. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Manchee Lafayee Edwards Jr. unresponsive in the front yard of a building. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
