On a Sunday afternoon in Richmond, Virginia, the life of Jaquon Mitchell, a male in his thirties, was tragically cut short. On January 31, 2021, at approximately 4:28 p.m., police responded to a report of a person shot at the intersection of the 1500 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike and Fairfield Way. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mitchell unresponsive in the eastbound lane of Fairfield Way, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
