Jaquon Mitchell, a 30-year-old resident of Richmond, Virginia, was tragically found dead on January 31, 2021. The Richmond Police Department responded to a call at approximately 4:28 p.m. regarding a person shot in the 1500 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mitchell unresponsive in the eastbound lanes of Fairfield Way at the intersection of Mechanicsville Turnpike. He had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
