In the early morning hours of April 26, 2021, the life of Mark Adamson, a 50-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. Officers responded to a call just after midnight in the 2800 block of Hull Street, where they discovered Adamson inside a structure, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death was quickly ruled a homicide by the Richmond Police Department, prompting an investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatal
shooting.
Adamson was a beloved figure in his community, known for his dedicated work as the House Manager of a transitional home. He was remembered for his compassion and his unwavering commitment to helping those in need, often dedicating his personal time to feeding the homeless and assisting the disadvantaged. His sudden and violent death sent ripples of shock and grief through the community he served so selflessly.
In the wake of the shooting, the Richmond Police Department urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
