Jontavious Logan, a 19-year-old from Danville, Virginia, tragically lost his life on May 19, 2021, as a result of a shooting incident. On that fateful evening, officers responded to a call at the Purdum Woods Apartments located at 1575 Richmond Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found Logan lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite the efforts of community members and officers who administered CPR and first aid, Logan was pronounced dead at the hospital.
