In the late hours of a summer evening in Norfolk, Virginia, tragedy struck, forever altering the lives of those connected to Amira Y. James-Rodgers. On August 23, 2021, a call reporting a gunshot victim dispatched police to a home in the 1600 block of Kingsway Road. Just before midnight, officers arrived to find 41-year-old Amira Y.
