In the late hours of a September evening in 2021, the sounds of enjoyment at the Danville-Pittsylvania County Fair in Ringgold, Virginia, were tragically pierced by the sound of gunfire. Sixteen-year-old Josh Rone, a male who was a junior at Bartlett-Yancey High School, was fatally shot in the parking lot around 11:45 p.m. on September 18th.
