Sixteen-year-old Josh Rone, a male who was a junior at Bartlett-Yancey High School, was fatally shot in the parking lot around 11:45 p.m. on September 18th. Emergency crews who were already on-site for the event faced challenges in quickly reaching Josh due to the chaotic exodus of panicked fairgoers.
Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Josh, a resident of Caswell County, North Carolina, was remembered as a caring young man with a passion for sports.
