On November 5, 2024, at approximately 7 a.m., Pittsylvania County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of gunfire on Old Quarry Road in Ringgold, Virginia. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Tauron D. Brown Jr., a resident of South Boston, suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
