Jamont Mitchell, a 17-year-old from Portsmouth, Virginia, tragically lost his life on November 21, 2021. He was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located on Cherokee Road. According to reports, Jamont walked into a local hospital with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound and later succumbed to his injuries.
