In the winter of 2022, the life of Marlon L. Harvey Jr., a 22-year-old Black male from Hampton, Virginia, was tragically cut short. On the night of January 15th, an incident unfolded inside a residence on Scott Drive in the Briarfield area that would leave two young men dead. Emergency dispatchers received a call regarding a shooting just before 10:45 p.m., and upon their arrival, officers discovered a grim scene.
