Deonta A. Flythe Jr., a 21-year-old from Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on April 22, 2022. The incident occurred early in the morning when Norfolk police responded to a report of gunshots in the 1400 block of Shelton Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Flythe had been shot and subsequently crashed his vehicle in the 200 block of 35th Street. He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
