In the early morning hours of April 22, 2022, the life of 21-year-old Deonta A. Flythe Jr. was tragically cut short in Norfolk, Virginia. Gunfire erupted in the 1400 block of Shelton Avenue around 6:30 a.m., setting in motion a devastating chain of events. It is believed that Flythe was struck by the gunfire at this location before attempting to flee the scene in a vehicle.
