In the area of Aberdeen Road in Hampton, Virginia, the life of 21-year-old Kyson Teray Dewon Lymon was cut short on the evening of November 24, 2022. Just before 9 p.m., police were called to the scene following reports of gunfire. Responding officers discovered a fire hydrant that had been struck and knocked from its base.
Witnesses at the scene reported a chaotic exchange of gunfire between two vehicles.
One of the vehicles involved in the shootout veered off the road, coming to a rest in a grassy area near West Mercury Boulevard. Inside this vehicle, officers found Kyson Lymon in the driver's seat, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the location, but Lymon's injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The case is being investigated as a homicide by the Hampton Police Division. Despite the ongoing investigation into the shooting, there have been no public announcements regarding any arrests or the identification of any suspects in connection with the death of Kyson Lymon.
