In the winter of 2022, the life of 22-year-old Deandre Broidy was tragically cut short in a shooting that unfolded in Richmond, Virginia. On the afternoon of Friday, December 9th, authorities responded to reports of gunfire in the 2200 block of Ruffin Road. However, upon their arrival, they found no victim at the scene.
A short distance away, in the 5600 block of Warwick Road, officers discovered Broidy inside his vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Investigators believe that after being shot, Broidy attempted to drive himself to a local hospital for help. Despite his efforts, his injuries proved to be too severe. Emergency medical services transported him to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds.

On the Wednesday following the incident, authorities arrested 22-year-old Khalil Rogers of North Chesterfield.
