In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Richmond, Virginia, the life of Norbert Laury, a 30-year-old Black or African American male, was tragically cut short. On September 8, 2018, police were called to the scene on Richmond's Southside where they found Laury suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss.
