In the winter of 2014, a dispute on a Paterson, New Jersey street corner escalated to a fatal conclusion for Ferron Green. On the evening of February 22, the 33-year-old male was shot and killed following an argument in the vicinity of Ellison and East 18th streets. The man responsible for his death, Courtney Simpson, then 34, immediately fled the state to evade capture.
