In the early hours of a Tuesday in Paterson, New Jersey, the life of 25-year-old Shakeem Ricks, a male resident of the city, was cut short by gunfire. On February 18, 2020, at approximately 1:33 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 207 12th Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered a crime scene but no victim.
