In the summer of 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in a Paterson, New Jersey neighborhood, leaving a tragic scene of violence. Al Malik Williams, a 37-year-old male, was caught in the hail of bullets on the evening of July 7th at the corner of Carroll and Harrison streets. The area, known for drug activity and violence, became the backdrop for a grim tally of casualties. Williams was one of seven people shot in the incident, which ultimately claimed four lives.
