In the late hours of a spring day in Paterson, New Jersey, the life of Oneil Linton, a 23-year-old male, was abruptly cut short by gunfire. On the evening of May 18, 2014, in the vicinity of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue, Linton was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. The incident added to the concerns about gun violence in the city and left a community searching for answers.
