Death by Force

On the evening of October 7, 2014, Marquet Dorsey, a 30-year-old Black male from Newark, New Jersey, was sitting in his vehicle parked in front of 5 Thomas Avenue in his home city. It was around 9 p.m. when the night was shattered by the sound of multiple gunshots. When emergency responders arrived, they found Dorsey suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to University Hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
