On November 9, 2014, he was discovered on the 1100 block of Chase Street with a single, fatal bullet wound to his chest. Emergency services responded to the scene and rushed him to Cooper University Hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
