In the late hours of a spring evening in 2015, the life of 21-year-old Dontell W. Gibson was tragically cut short on a street corner in Irvington, New Jersey. Dontell, a young man from East Orange, was at the intersection of Ball and May Streets when he was fatally shot around midnight on April 17th. Emergency services were called to the scene, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced dead at 12:23 a.m.
