In the early morning hours of June 25, 2016, the life of 57-year-old Marilyn Thompson was tragically cut short on the streets of Paterson, New Jersey. A Black/African American female, Thompson was discovered at the corner of Auburn Street and Hamilton Avenue around 4 a.m. with a gunshot wound to her head. Responding to reports of shots fired, police found her critically injured. She was rushed to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
