David Haskell Sparks, a 61-year-old man, was found dead on May 30, 2016, outside his hotel room at 8312 S. Lancaster Road in Dallas, Texas. Sparks, who was staying at the Days Inn motel, had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Sparks had arranged to meet with Michelle Speed, a 28-year-old woman, for a drug transaction.
