In the early evening of January 23, 2017, a fatal shooting shattered the routine at the First Avenue Gas station in Paterson, New Jersey. The victim was 57-year-old Ruskin Magamedov, a resident of the neighboring town of Fair Lawn, who was working as an attendant. The incident, which was also a robbery, occurred around 6 p.m. at the gas station located at 1st Avenue and McLean Boulevard.
